Monstera Adansonii Swiss Cheese Plant
Another of my favorites! The Andansonii or Swiss Cheese philodendron has vining, aerial roots that can cascade down as a vine or the roots will climb a structure of wood or a moss pole to grow vertically on a trellis as included with this Adansonii variety. This plant comes growing on a wood trellis and is potted in an 8" plastic nursery pot.
The Monstera Adansonii likes bright indirect to medium light. Allow the top 2-3 inches to dry out between waterings. As a vining, climbing aerial root plant often time the philodendrons do not need a large pot. The typically have small root balls and do not like to become soggy, boggy or over watered. Typically we let the soil dry out 50-75% between waterings and then water with the proper quantity of water for the size of your plant.
Always feel the soil to touch and observe the environmental and seasonal conditions that affect the soil moisture and soil dry out time.
