About Jewelweed Plant & Flower Shop owner & designer.
Hello! I am Sarah Dixon, Owner and Lead Designer at Jewelweed Flower & Plant Shop. While earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts specializing in Sculpture at The Ohio State University, I worked full time at a fast paced, market style florist. I was completely intoxicated by the infinite variety of colors, textures, shapes and the myraid of varieties types of flowers and plants from all over the world that we worked with every day.
After graduating, I decided to continue my career in the floral design, retail and event industry, drawn to a career working with my hands and arranging and designing with materials from the natural world; fresh flowers and plants.
Raised in a home full of indoor plants and always a summer vegetable garden I felt my calling to the world of floristry and green home decor. It was if all that I had ever known was calling me back.
Jewelweed opened in 2016 and has been designing for home, business and events for eight years.
